Fiber Sorting, Tumbling, and Washing

We carefully examine your fiber for debris, length, and "feel."  Removing the debris, short cuts, and soiled portions, we place the fiber in our tumbler to remove the dust and small pieces of hay and dirt away.  We bag the tumbled fiber into our washing bags and take it next door to our washing room. After two washes and one rinse (to prevent felting), we spin out the remaining water and move the clean fiber to our closed drying room, checking it daily to ensure it is completely dry and ready for picking.
